It was an ordinary winter morning. I thought of going out for a stroll. On coming out of my house, I was taken aback to find that my house was on a long, narrow land separating two seas on its two sides. I could not construe what exactly happened last night as everything was pretty normal, and I was in Delhi when I went to sleep last night. I kept asking myself – “How can I be here? “. The whole scene was quite intimidating as I had never seen two seas and one beach at one place. (It was not as funny as it sounds now.) I could possibly figure out that might be I was the only inhabitant there. I looked around but could not even see a single person around. Suddenly the waves started to intensify on both the sides and I had a premonition of tsunami from both sides. All this stuff was very weird. I was trapped in an impasse. I could hear ringing bells as if the devil is playing the death knell. The waves hit my face and the next moment, I opened my eyes to find that having splashed water on my face, my apartment mate was jabbering – “Wake up. It’s already 9 a.m. You are again going to be late for office today!” Well, its better be late than never!
People always say that whatever we see in a dream has some sort of nexus with us or our daily lives. If we go by this saying, then I could say at least the dream taught me to appreciate the beauty of life. Every day is a new beginning.
